Victorian, Martha's Vineyard
This is a wonderful Victorian home in Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. Someone put a great deal of money and time into this beautiful house.

This house has the look of a new structure that was built in the Victorian style rather than an older structure that's been restored. Is that the case or has it just been so remarkably maintained that it has the appearance of being new? It looks like a fantastic place to live.
I honestly think it has been remarkably restored. You don't see much new construction on Martha's Vineyard in the main towns (Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, Vineyard Haven). The structures in these towns have a lot of history associated with the island. I think these historic homes have strict requirements for restoration in order to maintain the aesthetics of these towns that bring the tourists. We have truly fallen in love with Martha's Vineyard, to the point we picked up real estate guides to see if there was anything remotely in our price range. There actually are homes we could afford were we to sell our present home and "trade up" to Martha's Vineyard, but they would not be ocean front homes.
