Image Description Washington DC Mormon Temple, 9900 Stoneybrook Drive, Kensington, Maryland, United States. Sited on 52 acres. Exterior Finish is reinforced concrete sheathed in 173,000 square feet of Alabama white marble. Temple Design is six-spire design - the total design portrays the Church as "a light to the world," with the the three towers to the east representing the Melchizedek Priesthood leadership, and those to the west, the Aaronic Priesthood leadership. Number of Rooms is six ordinance rooms and fourteen sealing. Total Floor Area is 160,000 square feet.

Fascinating structure with great lighting and color.   Similar to the dramatic Mormon Temple in San Diego too, but more modern in architecture.   Excellent image.

 Beautiful lighting with the fading pink in the bottom right corner matching the pink bushes in the foreground. This temple really looks more like some kind of space station to me though....

Wow, what a great photo of a beautiful structure.  I've seen the white spires of this imposing temple many times from the Capital Beltway, but this is the first time that I've ever seen what the entire structure looks like.  You made a fantastic exposure in some amazing light.

Thanks all! This was taken around Christmas time when they let the public onto the grounds. Only members of the Mormon faith can enter the sanctuary building itself.
