Huanglong National Park
Near Songpan, the Huanglong National Park is second only to the Jiuzhai Gou Park for popularity in this region. I would rate it very close in comparison and it was good that they are quite close to each other. This differs in that the valley offers unique and colorful pools defined by the natural minerals in the ground. This was quite a walk (about 10km) to get around the park with half of it being uphill, although again, there were excellent paths to use, which kept the area free from damage. These pools covered a long area with different colors from blue to green to yellow. October was a great time to visit.
