I think that my favorite animals that I saw and photographed during our South African wildlife drives were the cheetahs. They're such sleek and beautifully marked cats. I loved how this one jumped up onto this rock and seemed to pose for me, complete with a "smile."

Excellent shot with lovely backlighting. (Was your camera's time set correctly, this looks like late afternoon, not almost middday?)

Good catch on my camera's time setting, Ruud.  It was set correctly for U.S. eastern standard time, not for South Africa, so adding six hours puts the time of this photo at 5:00 p.m.

You caught a real nice pose and expression here. I might clone the spots of trees over the cats back.

Lovely shot Roger.  Is it me or has the camera focussed on the backlit belly fur?  The face looks slightly soft which is the only thing that detracts from the image.
