Genet At Night
Technically this not a good photo. The high ISO value makes it very noisy, the slow shutterspeed makes it unsharp. Nevertheless, it was a great moment when we spotted this elusive nocturnal creature, if only for a few seconds. It belongs to the cat family, is a little bigger than a domestic cat, and has a beautiful coat. They hunt small rodents and birds.

Never even heard of this animal, Ruud! How did you light this scene? The tech data says flash did not fire, yet obviously some kinda light froze the moment...

I was on an open top Landrover and one of my fellow passenger held the lightsource that we used to spot animals in the dark. It was like a single car headlamp. Amazingly many of the animals (including the lions) were not disturbed by the light at all, some were blinded and confused for a second and this one just scooted off immediately.
