John E. Detraz
I’ve enjoyed photography since I was very young starting out with a Kodak Browne, living on a dairy farm I had lots of animals and relatives to take pictures of learning not to chop their heads off.

I was introduced to the digital camera family during the course of my work, a SONY FDMavica it had a 1.2 mega pixel sensor with a floppy disk for recording medium, I promptly purchased one for myself to experiment with at home where I became hooked on digital photography. Today I use a Canon Xsi I’ve found it to be small, light weight making it easy carry with a 100-400mm lens and tripod giving me access to more difficult areas.

Recently I decided to retire to spend more time improving my photography, enjoying my roses, and seeing parts of the country I had previously flown over.
