That is impressive. I only with the trees were more lush and the lighting was less harsh. Very beautiful carpet of poppies.

 I'm usually not disturbed by this but I must say that here the blurry foreground is distracting me. 

Otherwise, this place looks incredible, what an amazing sight it must be on a sunny day or at dusk !

I love the contrasting red and green in this photo, and the number of poppies is amazing.  Unfortunately the entire image looks soft to me.

 Roger almost all is  soft

Only The tree's in the BG are in focus .

I wanted to give a red carpet effect (experementing)

I see Roger's point. I think the red carpet look would have been more effective if the red flowers came completely to the bottom edge of the frame without the large green plant distractions in the foreground.

 Agree with that
