The Acacia and the Southern Cross
sitting in the mountains in KZN in South Africa last friday evening and I thought that a combination of the firelight on the underside of the tree and the stars would make a nice combination.. the Southern Cross and Pointers can be clearly seen on the photo..

Andrew, at first I thought this was dirt and roots and I thought, what the hey?? But looking at it more closely I sure get it now.

Southern Cross is my favorite constellation and this is a unique look at it - upside down at the bottom of the image! But it's gorgeous from any angle and your unusual composition and lighting give it something unusual to punch it up.

Love it! Really well done and thank you for sharing!
