Victoria Government House
This is the Government House in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I had no tripod for this shot, but a small monument had a "shelf" that was apparently quite level that I used to steady the camera for this exposure. It was dusk allowing me to retain blue in the sky while balancing that with getting the lighting on the building.

Good exposure, nice job making use of what was available to hold it steady without a tripod.

Love the symmetry and the fantastc colors at one of the best time of day.  I am surprised you could fine a well-centered place to take the image as it seems right down the middle.  Great shot!

I agree with Richard, the symmetry is great and I love the combination of the dusky blue sky and the lights outlining the building, super architectural shot..

Thanks all!

Very nice shot!  I really like it, though it looks a touch soft to me.

I don't have an awful lot of low light experience but I was wondering why you didn't push the ISO up a but higher and try for a faster shutter speed, especially if you were hand holding the camera.  I have been amazed at the lack of noise from my Canon 60D in those situations and I assume your 50D would be similar...

Again, great shot!
