Indian Beach, Ecola State Park
I took this photo recently near Cannon Beach, OR, from an overlook at Ecola State Park. The scene that was developing, with the two surfers being dwarfed by the sea stacks, reminded me of some of the images that I've seen over the years in the Exposure pages of Outside magazine. The overcast conditions made this a tough exposure, but they also helped to create the mood for the image. I just wish that it was sharper.

I don't see anything that isn't tack sharp...or fixable in PS filters. Perfecto, Roger! Awesome shot and thank you for posting.

I can see the softness in the surfers, but for a grab shot at a state park overlook I think this is just fine. The placement of the surfers and the angle of view provide an excellent sense of scale.

Very good impression of the mood there. I can almost hear the breakers crash on the rocks!
