Fisherman on the Li River
For ages, the local fisherman in the Guilin area of China used comorant's as a method for fishing on the Li River. Clipping their wings prevented them from flying away and the fisherman would use the light at the front of the boat to attract the fish. He would place the comorant's in the water and when they swallowed a fish, he would grab the bird and force the bird to spit back out in a basket. This was taken early morning and difficult as I was also on a boat and shooting at ISO 1600 to get this.

Night sea-scape photos are difficult to take, but this one is fabulous! And, thanks for sharing the trivia Smile

Love it, the colours, the light, and the composition....... the fact that you used ISO at 1600 shows the advances in cameras these days and what is possible now...
