Just very, very cool shot.  Love the tires leading you into the picture with the wonderful sky.  Great detail of the beach and images in the back.   Great composition!

Yep - I agree totally with Richard's comments - a super shot.  Wasn't this the scene of a tragedy some years back?  I seem to recall something about cockle pickers being trapped by the rising tide.  Is that right Ruud?

Yes, a while after I did the Morecambe Bay crossing 18 cocklepickers died there. They were illegal chinese immigrants exploited by a gangmaster, picking cockles during the night without enough knowledge of the area and tides. I walked there during the day with a guide. One stretch of fast flowing water came above knee height the current was so strong it could easily knock you over. I can understand how they could easily get lost in the dark.
