Bena - Traditional Village of Flores, Indonesia
One of the better places we visited while on Flores last month was the traditional village of Bena. This group of people practice both Catholic and Paganistic religions. Whereas a small Catholic church is nearby, they still have slabs of rock for the sacrificing of animals. This is a typical hut sitting in front of the active volcano, Mt. Inerie. The upper half of the hut is like an attic, where the store items.

Simply gorgeous. I want you to know Richard that before I met you on TPN, I had never even heard of Flores. Now I am definitely going there someday. Thanks so much for that, there is no way to repay such a thing and I hold it so valuable.
