The Blooming Weed
Not sure classifies as a "Bloom", but as walking my dog, I happened to carry my camera along in trying to learn how to shoot with my 180mm macro lens. This was one of the first shots I did in the neighbors yard before the wind blew it away.

I think Dandelions are very underappreciated. I will upset many english people who like pristine lawns, but I like the yellow flowers and, as your picture shows, the seed heads are beautiful!

Their name is interesting too: the english name comes from the french, dents de lion (lion's teeth), which is what they are also called in german (Loewenzahn). In french they are call Pissenlit (piss in bed), probably due to their diuretic properties.

 

PS I don't think the server likes o umlaut.
