Translating as "abode of snow", the Himalayan mountain range is the planet's highest, and home to the world's highest peaks including Mount Everest - seen here on the horizon left - and K2.

The Himalayas, eh? I just checked my world atlas and yes, that region does qualify as "hill country" ;-) As a rough analogy I would say that World War II qualifies as "historical"!

Your style of presentation is unique, Simon. Very elegant and singular, while not solely focused on the photography itself. But your content is top drawer & I can't accuse you of style over substance. So I'm glad you are posting here, as I love all your works that I've seen so far!
