I like this, especially with the different patterns on the pillows, dress and all. Very effective in mono and a delightful look on her face as saying...Don't take any more! Nice smile too. I can see why a favorite (I will forgive you on the English way of spelling :-) Although that is considered the formal and historical proper way to spell it!)). Great shot.
That slightly shy embarresed Don't photograph me portrait. My girl's are the same.
The B/W adds to this.
Hope she had a good time
I can also see why it is one of your favorites, it definitely shows her with more character and a natural smile than many formal portraits. Well shot. My only suggestion is one of composition. I'm somewhat bothered by her hand sticking into the fram from the right. I suggest a better composition would have been to have her whole arm on the right in the frame. Just a thought.
Is Skye your daughter, Andrew? I love that name and almost chose it for my daughter Zoe.
This is a classic candid, very professional in appearance as if posed by you and acted by her. Which I'm sure neither is true, so congrats on the capture!
Oh and lest I forget my favorite refrain, you might consider a subtle vignette to this striking portrait.
thanks for the comments, much appreciated,
@ Patrick, she is my girlfriends daughter, we are close though and she is very photogenic under any circumstance, which makes life a little easier..
will try a little vignetting and see what I come up with...
