Laundry Day
Small village not far from Bobo Dioulasso in Burkina Faso. Red earth, dark greens, blue sky and multicolored textiles mixed for a real symphony of colors.

Nice comp and doc scene. Would have liked to see a bit more sat and contrast/detail in the sky but just a nit.

I agree about increasing the saturation and contrast, and I also agree with Alica that the photos on my computer also look slightly different once posted here... I find that I have to make a few adjustments before uploading...

This scene is so typical of Africa, it is only the vegetation and buildings that change, depending on what part of Africa one is in...

Verry well composed image Alice..shows a very good eye to placement of the tree, earth, people and sky.   It looks like a fascinating place to visit.   Yes..I struggle constantly with getting the colors and exposure right on TPN.  I need to oversaturate to get mine looking normal...but that is likely due to my monitor, etc.   Besides the suggestion with being the sky in darker, I would also give it a try to actually take some red out??  I always like to give the sky that more deeper blue color that I think would pop this shot.   I hope you have more of this area..love to see it!

Wonderful capture. Maybe lower the luminence and increase the saturation in the blues.

You apparently would have needed multiple different exposures and HDR here to get the dynamic range you saw with your eyes, particularly for the sky. However I do like your composition and the elemental color palette.

I boost Saturation by 20 to 25% on every image I post here, and in general that applies the necessary adjustment. For some reason a few shots require upwards of 50% Saturation boosts - so normally I review the posting and re-edit/replace it as needed.
