Mr Inerie in Flores Island, Indonesia
Standing on the rim of the extinct volcano, Mt. Wawomuda, we are looking across to the other side with the active volcano, Mt. Inerie, in the background during an early morning hike. There are 7 active volcanoes still on Flores Island with this one taking on the classical cone-shape.

Well, I've been trying to come up with a way to critique this, but so far the only credible lines of thought have been "maybe if you had hired a helicopter for a higher perspective..."

This is just a terrific travel photo taking me right to where you were, in an incredible destination that hardly anyone ever sees. Thanks a lot for posting it, Richard, I love the story it tells!

Awesome location, Richard. Lovely shot. I think I'd like it a bit better if the volcano weren't in the middle of the shot. Perhaps a bit of cropping from the left...?
