I really love the framing you chose here, particularly for the juxtaposition that I read into the bloom of spring vs. the boom of cannons :-)

I like the positioning of the cannons framed with the trees.   I agree with the above comment of the mix of peaceful and war....great composition.

Thanks for your comments, Patrick and Richard.  No, I'm not a Virginian.  I live on Maryland's Eastern Shore, which is not all that terribly far from northern Virginia, so a photo shoot is not out of the question, Patrick, if you're not far from the DC metro area.
