This is surprising to me, seeing the Golan Heights as a rain forest! I had thought of that entire region as generally pretty arid and not very green like this. Guess my conception was wrong!

The golan does not have rain forests but during the mths Sept-may (rainy season) more or less and being so high you get the mist in the forest.

The forest is not that big considiring the size of Israel and the Golan Heights Smile

It is rather dry in the southern part .

 Avi, I'm trying to avoid commenting on your photos because I do so much commenting on them! haha, but can't help it if I like them.

I really like the BG in this and like the flowers as a focal point, but am not thrilled with the FG tree - not sharp enough and I actually want to look around the tree to see the scene behind it. Love the mist.
