Just Lucky
Feb 17-23, 2013 / randomness sometimes yields good photography
Truly one of the luckiest shots I have had as we are bouncing along in an open-top vehicle along the Zambezi River in Zambia when the driver had to slow down for major bumps. I heard some knocking along side the truck and looked to see this bee-catcher pounding the bee against the branch to kill it. I quickly got my camera up and shot quickly. I was fortunate to get the bird in this pose while still moving, but also thankful that I prepared my camera for these type of situations when you know you have no time to prepare...AF with high ISO.
