This was the scene at my house on Maryland's Eastern Shore during our second blizzard of the week in February 2010. Our winters are generally somewhat mild compared to other parts of Maryland and the mid-Atlantic region, but that winter we had three blizzards that dumped about four feet of snow on us. So far this winter we've seen a total of about two inches of snow accumulation. Sigma SD14, Sigma 18-250mm OS @ 21mm, ISO 100, f/7.1, 1/125s.

The oldest cemetery in Salem, and the second oldest known cemetery in the USA, started in 1637. Freezing stroll in the dead of winter, the entire town seemed deserted at the time, despite a bright winter sun !
