Travel Photographers Network and London Photo Workshops are proud to announce the 2008 London Photography Shoot. TPN Members will have the opportunity to get together with Jim White and Paul Prince on April 19th and 20th to shoot the scenic cityscapes, architecture, and life along the Thames. Photographically, London along the river is always a dramatic and dynamic subject. We intend to explore its possibilities and to exploit the weather in all its changing moods.
The workshop will last two days and will feature the sunset/evening sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Be prepared to be up early for sunrise on Sunday! We will also explore other interesting locations during the daytime sessions. Possible shoot locations include: Borough Market, Southwark Cathedral, and Battersea Power Station. The exact itinerary will be agreed based on weather, opportunity, and the suggestions of workshop attendees.
The workshop is open to photographers of all skill levels. The intention is to keep things very informal. There will be no planned instruction, but help and advice are always available to any attendees. Participants will also have the opportunity to display the 'best images' from the shoot in a friendly session.
The price of the workshop will be £30. The price is intended to cover some of the expenses associated with transporting the group around London, and setting up permission to shoot at key locations. The price also includes a £5 donation to Cancer Research UK.
Accommodation is not included in the admission price. Given the early start (especially on Sunday) it is advisable to stay in London for the workshop. Anyone wishing to get advice on a place to stay should contact Jim or Paul for suggestions.
