Touring West Scotland on a Bike

My Brother and I decided that touring the Scottish Islands and Highlands on a motorbike was just about the most fun you can have in May. The purpose of the trip was not to travel somewhere and see something in particular, but the journey itself. The area boasts some of the most rugged and desolate scenery in the British Isles with tall peaks surrounding enormous lochs and thick woods covering rolling countryside. It seems that around every bend on these twisty, narrow roads lies another stunning view to amaze the onlooker. Our trip took us from Mull, through Skye up to Ullapool and included some the best that Scotland has to offer, namely stunning scenery, beautiful roads, fantastic pub lunches and plenty of places to camp out in the wilds.
