A typical Mosque in Tunisia is of modest construction – thin walls, minimalist decoration – reminiscent of a small fortress. The New Mosque of Zarzis is different. The rich mixture of religious decorations and calligraphy in green and pastel colors highlight its beauty in the daytime, while the elegant illuminations show off its beauty at night.
