Welcome to the NEW Travel Photographers Network

Over the last two months, the TPN staff have expended enormous energy and time developing and polishing up the new site. We sincerely hope you like what we have delivered. With this new website we indend to restore some long missed activities including a new cover image, fresh articles each month, weekly challenge themes, weekly moderator picks, and an active discussion board.

We also have a new roster of site moderators including Bob Miller, Matt Blaisdell, Rob Sutherland and Sheril Foust.

Logging into TPN

If this is your first visit to the new TPN, please register again. You will not be prompted to enter a password during registration. A temporary password will be e-mailed to you. Once you receive your temporary password and log into the site, click the Account Settings link in the top right corner of the page and change your password to something you can remember. While you are there, make sure you update all of the other fields in your profile such as signature, avatar (profile picture), interesting facts about you, and your web site links.

Getting Around

In an effort to help you learn how to use the new site we have created some pages under the Help menu. Read these pages:

TPN Post Guidelines - the rules all members must follow to post on TPN
TPN User Guide - detailed instructions for using the features of the site

Some things will be obvious like the What's New section of the left sidebar. Others will take some time to become familiar to you. If you have used other online community websites, it should not take you long to find the usual features you expect. If you have any questions regarding use of our new website, post them in the forum. One of the staff members will find an answer and respond. And don't be shy about asking. Others probably have the same question.

Current Subscribers

If you paid for an annual membership on the previous site we will honor the remainder of that subscription. In addition we will provide an additional month free of charge to give you time to become familiar and comfortable with the new site.

New Members

New members to TPN will be granted a 30-day trial membership with full, paid member privileges. TPN has two membership levels.

Annual paid membership provides the following benefits:

Post images in the critique galleries
Enter the weekly photo challenges
Create your own member image gallery
Participate in the member forums
Provide comments to published articles
Provide critiques to posted images
Manage your personal profile with links, biography, contact info, interests
Submit an article (subject to approval)
Submit a link request

Congratulations on the new site - it has much of the familiarity of the original TPN which we all knew and loved, but brought right up to date. I hope that this will grow into a great community site for travel photographers around the globe. Best wishes, Tricia

Well done folks! The old site seemed like it might be the death blow to TPN. This is a 1,000 times better. Simple no frills but looks good and seems to be easy to use. Everything you want in a forum.

I was a fan of one of the previous versions though not the other (and I'm not even sure which was which). But certainly I like this incarnation best of all. TPN deserves to be THE premier travel photography website on the web, and I for one intend to promote this forum toward the prominence and notoriety it deserves. Thanks to Walter and all the fabulous talents who are joining this movement and fueling these eternal flames of our insatiable travel documentary format!
