Walter Rowe is
a charter staff member of the Travel Photographers Network Online Magazine.
He is also a moderator and webmaster for the Mid-Atlantic Nature Photographers
chapter for the Nature Photographers Network Online Magazine, and is an avid music photographer. His travel, nature, and music photographs have appeared in both print and online publications.
Walter Rowe began taking travel and nature photographs in high school and college in Tennessee during the 1970's and 80's. He spent a great deal of time in the outdoors canoeing, camping and backpacking, particularly in the Cumberland Plateau and Great Smokey Mountains National Park areas of eastern Tennessee. It was during that time that he developed his interest in photography. He enjoyed taking pictures of the natural environment, the places he went, and the people with whom he traveled.
Today, Walter lives in Maryland with his lovely wife Debbie. Maryland is in the heart of the very diverse Mid-Atlantic region. In this region, there are large urban cities, rural farm country, small waterside villages, historic homes and estates, the Pennsylvania Dutch country, numerous national wildlife refuges, and many public parks and gardens.
Walter and Debbie love to travel. It is through their travels that Walter's has now become interested in travel photography. Walter strives to capture the essence of the places he visits. He has photographed the Colorado Rockies, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, the southern California coast, and many places along the Atlantic seaboard from Florida to New England.
For Walter, photography started as a passion and a hobby. Only recently has he considered it as a career. He is now working to establish himself as a full-time professional photographer. Walter hasn't quit his day job in the IT profession yet, but hopes to in the near future.
Walter's personal web site is www.RoweImages.com and he can be reached at Walter@RoweImages.com .
